I Will Sing – Aphasia Singing Group

Support group details

Group Description
Our group meets for social connection and a mutual love of music. We are run by the community for the community. The group was started as a way to meet up once a month to sing and play music. Aphasia can significantly impact our speaking, but we can still sing familiar songs. Jaimi and Jeff lead the group on the keyboard and singing. However, the group is a collaborative experience, and the members pick the songs and express the easiest way to learn them. The songs are broken down line by line or humming first. By the end of each session, we sing the song together.
