AGM Annual Report 2022: Collaborating for Change

DSC_0170

We presented our 2022 Annual Report at our AGM on the 1st of December. We reflected on the year we had and how collaboration facilitates stronger, more effective networks of support and how support groups can be integral to overcoming loneliness. The AGM also provided an opportunity to network and connect with our members.

It was our pleasure to have the South Community Hub managing director and Information Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) project partner, Seblework TadesseAMPARO Advocacy multicultural engagement coordinator, Jenny Ryan and SGQ manager, Selina Utting, share their reflections on their work in the CALD community and “collaborating for change” the theme of our meeting this year.

It was a great night to meet and network with other Support Groups, share information, and celebrate the work conducted throughout the year.

We said goodbye to our Committee Member, Sydney Broad, facilitator of the Mt Gravatt Stroke and Friendship Club. We welcomed a new member to our committee, Metikie Worku, a nurse and medical student.
